The Iraqi point of view.

Salon has an interesting article describing the post war period from the Iraqi point of view. The article is essentially a review of Anthony Shadid's book "Night Draws Near: Iraq's People in the Shadow of America's War". If this rings familiar to you, then you may have seen the Washington Post's three part series about diary entries written by Amal, a 14 year old girl living in Baghdad at the time of the war.

The book appears to offer a deeper insight into the view of a mutlitude of different Iraqis. I will write more about this once I have finished reading the book (which I just ordered on Amazon).
